“I plan to buy a finished, CE-marked, cord with plug, switch and lamp holder. I’m going to mount this in a lamp stand I made and sell the luminaire. Do I have to CE-mark the luminaire if I only make one or two?”
Yes, in order to sell or in other way transfer the luminaire, you have to CE-mark it. The lamp stand with cord and lamp holder counts as a new product. You are the manufacturer and you must ensure that it’s safe by writing an EU declaration and CE marking the luminaire. It doesn’t matter if you make one or a thousand copies.
